Project Focus

The faculty worked with Northrop Grumman to develop a comprehensive internship engagement that included having interns work with engineers and technicians in the areas of satellite manufacturing. These areas included Machine Shop, Antenna Development, Equipment-Mechanisms-Sensors, Precision Assembly, and other applications related to satellite manufacturing.

Products include spacecraft panels, bus structures, precision optical structures, deployable structural systems and mechanisms, solar arrays and antenna reflectors. Our products are on virtually every U.S. satellite built in the last 20 years.
