Employment Development Department
Since its establishment, the Employment Development Department (EDD) has connected millions of job seekers and employers in an effort to build the economy of the Golden State. The EDD provides a variety of services. Here are some examples:
Labor Market Information
EDD promotes California's economic health by providing information to help people understand California's economy and make informed labor market choices.
Jobs & Training
The EDD’s Workforce Services Branch (WSB) provides a comprehensive range of employment and training services in partnership with state and local agencies and organizations through the America’s Job Center of California, formerly known as One-Stop Career Centers. The services offered benefit all job seekers including youth, veterans, people with disabilities, adults, and dislocated workers and brings employers with job opportunities together with qualified job seekers. The WSB also prepares up-to-date statistical information, demographics, and analyses impacting the State’s business climate.
